My suggestion#

Story points don’t matter. Velocity does not matter. As the Agile Manifesto says, “Working software is the primary measure of progress.” Story point is just a tool that might be useful during planning meetings. In your case, I would recommend re-estimating because you want to finish your stories during the sprint. If you don’t finish them on time, move them to the backlog, and treat them as something new. Some developers may feel that they are losing something and that some points are just being wasted. If you get comments like that, fine. Tell them that the solution is to start less, finish more, and break larger PBIs into smaller chunks of work.
